Nowadays the economy of Russia which is rich with its resources and favorable state of the market gives a lot of opportunities for creating highly-profitable businesses in various spheres. And Satka district is not an exception in that respect. It has all necessary factors for economic breakthrough: developed infrastructure, manpower resources, tourist potential. Our district is located in the centre of Urals - rich economic region with large markets of goods and services.

In contemporary conditions the matters of small and medium-sized enterprises' development are of special importance. Small business ismobile, it can quickly adapt to different conditions and situations, and it can provide additional employment of population.

The importance of small business to the economy of Satka region is obvious. In terms of diversification of a single-industry town's economy small and medium-sized enterprises together with township-forming companies are just those to assume the social responsibility for the development of the territory.

Satka district is among first districts of the region to adopt and successfully implement the program of bringing support and development to the small and mediumsized enterprises. A public coordinating council, a centre of entrepreneurship development, and associations of employers and entrepreneurs have already been founded and nowadays operate efficiently.

In the year 2010, 80 emergent entrepreneurs were given grants for creating and developing their own businesses. Microfinancing, backing of the entrepreneurs' leasing expenditures, establishing connections to the electricity network facilities, implementation of energy-saving technologies, promotion of goods and services of Satka district's medium-sized enterprises in the regional Russian and internationalmarkets are nowadays priority directions of the entrepreneurship support.

Administration and entrepreneurs of Satka district take an active hand in regional activities, become winners or prizetakers of competitions like "Best municipal district of Chelyabinsk region in the sphere of small entrepreneurship development", "Best entrepreneur", "Lady director of the year", "Best media coverage of the topic "Small-scale business" in Chelyabinsk region".

Undoubtedly, there's an obvious effect of that support: new enterprises and working places are being created, volumes of products (goods and services) output grow, the volumes of tax proceeds to the budgets of all levels increase too.

All these achievements and successes are the evidence of the business's maturity and social responsibility, correct organizational management of Satka district's municipal authorities.
